DESCRIPTION:Event Dates: August 2\, 3 & 4\, 2022 Event Location: Palace Station\, Las Vegas\, NV \n\n\n\nThe Nevada Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities invites you to attend the Silver State Self-Advocacy Conference 2022\, a conference by and for the I/DD community. \n\n\n\nThis event is in partnership with Nevada Aging and Disability Services\, the Nevada Disability Advocacy and Law Center\, the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities\, Nevada Department of Education Office of Inclusive Education\, Nevada Blind Connect\, Nevada PEP\, Opportunity Village\, and the Statewide Independent Living Council. \n\n\n\nKeynote Speakers include Lacey Buchanan and Nina G! \n\n\n\nThis event is being held hybrid both in-person and virtually! \n\n\n\nRegistration is FREE and open to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)\, family members of those with I/DD\, and professionals who work in this community. Travel assistance is available on a limited basis and must be requested on your registration form. \n\n\n\nRegistration is closed. Conference agendas and additional materials will be sent in July 2022\, to all registered attendees. \n\n\n\nWe are also seeking speakers to host breakout sessions during the conference. If you are interested in presenting at the conference\, please fill out the application below by May 27\, 2022.
