Our public comment period for our next 5 Year State Plan has ended. Once fully approved by the Council, this will be released to the public in official form.

In every state and territory, programs authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD Act) empower individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to help shape policies that impact them. Different programs have different rules on what they can do and how they can spend their money.
Developmental Disability Councils in each state and US territory, design a 5-Year State Plan to provide education and fund projects to show new ways that people with disabilities can be fully included in their community. The DD Act allows Councils to choose Federal “Areas of Emphasis” to focus on based on gaps in service identified in our State. The information collected will help us determine those gaps and develop the goals and activities for our next State Plan.
The survey for the first round of collecting information took place in 2024 through the beginning of 2025. We are grateful for everyone that chose to participate in this survey.
